The Moondyne Polo Club Inc. was formed in July 1996 to foster and promote
the sport of polo and to facilitate the involvement and participation of
members in such sport.
The club consists of families that live in the Moondyne Hills and attend
all tournaments run during the W.A. polo season. We can normally attend
with about four teams at each tournament. Moondyne also hosts around six
tournaments a polo season at our own grounds located in the Moondyne Hills.
The field was put in by the club’s members with a lot of hard work
and a fair bit of dynamite to make an area flat enough amongst the hills.
This field is considered one of the best in W.A.
The club developed from a family that originally played polocrosse, then
got interested in polo, started to play a bit of polo, became hooked and
then formed our own club. The club is now made up of several families
consisting of mums, dads, kids and grandkids of which all play.
