    Each year during our Polo Season which is October to April here in W.A. Moondyne Polo Club employs up to six (6) seasonal Polo grooms. Grooming for polo can open up an opportunity to travel as polo is played all over the world and each polo season is played at a different time of the year depending upon which country or state you are in. Some of our grooms come from overseas and some come from here, W.A. and end up travelling around the world. All grooms employed are capable riders with a love for and devotion to horses.
 
Each groom is responsible for the care, exercising and welfare of six (6) to ten (10) horses. These duties involve riding, feeding, stabling, keeping stables, feed room, tack room and tack clean and tidy , treatment of minor injuries and ailments, saddling up horses as required, loading and unloading of horses for tournaments, saddling up, unsaddling and hosing down of horses at tournaments. Grooms are required to work 40 hours per week spread over six (6) days. Monday is the day off during the Polo season.  Air-conditioned accommodation with individual bedrooms and communal living/kitchen areas with all necessary utensils i.e. furnishings, kitchen utensils, T.V., bedding, linen and laundry facilities are all supplied. 
There is also the possibility of full time employment after the end on the Polo season.
